GAME DESIGNER

Hello, my name is Avery Taylor, I’m a game designer that graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Spring 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Game Design. I have plenty of experience collaborating with a variety of team sizes. My familiarity with Unreal blueprints and Unity C# allows me to prototype game systems to test design concepts. My knowledge of Adobe and documentation software allows me to communicate ideas to other designers, programmers, artists, and producers. Some of these skills include; Game design documentation, Guide/Beat maps, Intensity graphs, Block outs, Wireframes, and Systems descriptions. I utilize a range of software to stay connected and provide clarity at every opportunity.

My passion is immersing players within the magic circle, creating spaces for exploration, excitement, and wonder. My goal is to lead players through challenges and guide them through tailored worlds and experiences.



PERSONAL INTERESTS

I deeply enjoy traveling to gain inspiration for developing spaces for others to explore. I’m a Social Gamer that believes in virtual interaction and exploration with others. I’m always on the search for insightful new things in science and in fiction. Entertainment is the place I grow my creations to touch the hearts and minds of others as it has done for me. I take great inspiration from Felipe Falanghe creator of KSP, Hidetaka Miyazaki creator of the Souls series, and Kim Swift's work on Portal and others.

My favorite games are Kerbal Space Program, The Dark Souls Series, The Fallout Series, and The Titan Fall Series.

My favorite co-op games: Portal2, Earth Defense Force 4.1, Deep Rock Galactic, Witch it, and Ultimate Chicken Horse.
